We’re All Mad Here

Welcome home.

What exactly is this?

I wanted a place where I could spread awareness concerning mental health, share messages of mental wellness and, just in general, create posts that simply serve as “food for thought”. I wanted a space that was separate from anything else, something that was entirely my own. My hope is that this is a place of reassurance and validity for people. That people gain a sense of comfort in the realization that they’re not alone. Everyone’s got something they’re struggling with, whether it’s evident or not. We’re all “mad”.

What I’m not trying to do here is play doctor and pretend like I know everything about anything that has to do with mental health. I’m not an expert and I am not a therapist, but I do hope to share information and shed some light on important topics related to mental health that get conversations going. That said, I’m struggling myself. I can’t even claim that I follow my own advice all of the time. I mess up and my mental health gets low again more often than I ever admit. I’m still learning, growing, and healing one day at a time. For me, journaling and talking about these things is therapeutic and not only helps me in my own journey, but also helps me to see the good. So, why not share some of that good with others?
